Seeking driven and self-starting individuals for the position of Lease Records Manager.
This position reports to the company’s Senior Vice President – General Counsel and will have supervisory and management responsibilities for leading a team to ensure thorough and efficient analysis and documentation of the company’s oil and gas lease records.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Analyze oil and gas leases in both producing and non-producing frameworks
· Analyze mineral and working interests, depth severances, lease provisions, chain of title, conveyance documents, pooling orders, etc.
· Interpret title opinions and assignments to allocate acres from a lease perspective as well as from a well perspective
· Coordinate closely with Land and Division Order departments to clarify issues
· Translate analysis into lease software system for retrieval and reporting
· Mentor and develop team members
· Handle complex issues and coordinate and prioritize special projects
Required Qualifications:
· 10+ years applicable experience
· Advanced knowledge of lease records, land ownership, division orders, etc.
· Detail oriented with the ability to accurately manage information
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn company specific software
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to maximum efficiency
· Willingness to communicate, cooperate, and coordinate with others
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· CPLTA certification
